The Virginia Cyber Range proudly launches the 4th annual Virginia Cyber Signing Day in 2026. Modeled after collegiate athletic signing days, this event recognizes graduating high school seniors who are committing to further education, military service, or careers in cybersecurity and related fields.
Virginia Cyber Signing Day was inspired by the National Cyber Signing Day, held annually at the NICE K12 Cybersecurity Education Conference and hosted by iKeepSafe. Watch past National Cyber Signing Day ceremonies on YouTube.
Honorees will be recognized at the Virginia Cybersecurity Education Conference in July 2026. Attendance is not required to receive recognition.
Eligibility
Public high school educators in Virginia may nominate a senior graduating in the 2025-2026 school year.
Nomination Benefits
All Nominated Students Receive
- A Virginia Cyber Range swag package
- A digital certificate of recognition
- Participation in a recorded interview highlighting their achievements
Interviews will be edited and shared on social media, in the Virginia Cyber Range newsletter, and through other media outlets. A signed media release is required.
Conference Recognition
Five students will be selected for recognition at the Virginia Cybersecurity Education Conference in July 2026.
Selected Students Receive
- Complimentary conference registration
- One complimentary hotel night
Attendance is not required for recognition.
Teachers of Selected Students Receive
- Complimentary conference registration
- One complimentary hotel night
Nomination Requirements
A Virginia public high school educator must complete the online form.
The form requires:
- Teacher contact information
- Student contact information
- A brief description of the student’s academic achievements, community involvement, and post graduation plans
- Upload of a signed media release form
If not uploaded during submission, the signed media release must be emailed to conference@virginiacyberrange.org by 11 PM ET on April 24, 2026.
Deadline
All nominations must be submitted by 11 PM ET on April 24, 2026.
Late nominations may be considered if space remains available.
